Public Rights of Way (PRoW)

Changes to Stage

From Backlog to Screen

We, and our service owner, think that public rights of way will be valuable for creating faster local plans and that it has an impact on the development management process.

From Screen to Research

We have found a website which links out to numerous 'public rights of way' datasets from multiple local authorities. There was no legislation defining the consideration but as we have found data that already exists, mostly under an open licence, we will progress this to research.

From Research to Co-design

We think that this consideration influences site design and layout, and based off of what we have found so far, there is little risk in progressing this consideration to the point of data analysis, where we can find out more about what already exists and whether it is suitable for the platform.

At the end of March 2024, we moved this planning consideration into planning data design. We moved it with the stage it had at the time. Therefore, we are only able to show history from that point.
