Screen
These are the questions we answer during the Screen stage.
Answering them wil help us learn more about the Casi and lidar habitat consideration, determine if a data standard is required and whether we know enough to move on to the next stage.
-
What is the 'Casi and lidar habitat' consideration?
- CASI (Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager)
- LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging)
The classification uses ground data from sites collected near to the time of CASI capture. Ground data is used to identify the characteristics of the different habitats in the CASI and LIDAR data. These characteristics are then used to classify the remaining areas into one of the different habitats.
-
Is there legislation that defines 'Casi and lidar habitat'?
No
-
Who, in law, is responsible for the planning consideration or makes decisions about 'Casi and lidar habitat'?
There is no legislation around CASI and LiDAR, but the accountability lies with the Environment Agency, as this is the body that has published the national dataset.
-
Which organisations do we think should publish the data?
- Environment Agency
-
Is the Casi and lidar habitat a trigger?
No
-
Is the Casi and lidar habitat something to consult during plan making?
No
-
Is there any Casi and lidar habitat data already available?
Yes
-
