The Geospatial Commission, part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, is building a digital map of underground pipes and cables that will revolutionise the way we install, maintain, operate and repair our buried infrastructure - the National Underground Asset Register (NUAR).

    The National underground asset register (NUAR) is available via a portal for those involved in 'digging' to refer to. The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) are keen for 'planning' to be a use case to consider wider applications for the NUAR and are looking at running a discovery in 2025.
